3 Year Pictures

Here are Braxton's three year pictures. Actually, they are his 2 year, 347 day old pictures taken for his third birthday. I think that they turned out pretty darn good.

Birthday Boy

I just can't even believe it. Braxton turned three today. My baby is three years old! It may seem dorky to still be calling him my "baby boy." But I'm quite alright being labeled as a dork.

So, Braxton is really into "The Wiggles." If you don't know who or what they are, you are lucky! I am happy that he is "into" something so much. But, they can get on your nerves pretty easily. So, with him being into the wiggles, I decided I would try to make him a 3D cake of their "big red car." I attached a picture, so obviously I wasn't appalled by it, but it definitely wouldn't hurt for me to take an actual baking class. Braxton was excited and that is really all that matters.
I attached some other pictures, too. I want you to see how much he has changed in the last three years.

I want to share another story with you. A few days ago, I had told Braxton that he was cute. He corrected me saying, "Baxton's so handsome." I quickly agreed. Then he added, "Daddy's handsome, too." Again, I agreed. But instead of just stopping at that, he then said, "And Mommy's ... um .... Mommy's nice."
Happy Birthday, Bud! We Love You!

OUCH!

Can't sleep? Tired of trying to count sheep and still not catching a wink? Well, then, we at CragunClan headquarters recommend you trying some of these VERY comfortable positions.

PLEASE NOTE: You should talk with your doctor before adding these activities to your nightly routine.

Should you find yourself in one of these positions and can't get out, you should: Scream for help as soon as you feel you can and then take about 1200 mg of ibuprofen. Have a good day/night.

(We will NOT be held responsible for those of you who are crazy enough to actually try!)

Family Pictures

These pictures were actually taken in October of last year (2005.)

Why a blog?

I started a blog sometime last year and never quite got the hang of how to work the website. I hate to say I "quit" but I guess I did. So, hopefully, I can figure this crazy computer stuff out so you can stay informed with us, the Cragun clan.

I really want to do this mainly for my friends and family who are so far away. Braxton is my main motivation. He is growing so big so quickly. They have already missed out on a lot and I don't want them to miss out on too much more.

Jeff and I have moved once again. Let's see, so in 5 years, that is technically 7 moves. Luckily, this wasn't a big move. Just acrossed town. Not too bad. Right now our moving goes as follows: Utah to Michigan, Michigan to Utah, Utah to Montana, Montana to Utah, Utah to Ohio, and then acrossed town once & acrossed town again. I'm HOPING this is the last move while Jeff is still in school. That would be great.

I guess I'd better go. I do have a cute Braxton story for you real quick, though: It was almost time for bed and we had cleaned up Braxton's toys. His little toy vacuum was around by the side of the couch though and I saw it just as I was about to flip out the light. So, I yelled to Braxton, "come get the vacuum and take it to your room." I heard the little pitter-pattering of feet and knew that he was coming, so I carried on in the kitchen paying little attention to what he was doing. A few moments passed by and then I heard him grunting. First thought: Oh, know! He needs to go to the restroom (STILL potty-training.) So, I ran to the hallway and see him trying to push the REAL vacuum. I said, "Braxton, what are you doing?" And he responded, "pushing vac-oom to Baxton's woom." He is so adorable and I love him soooo much. I'm so blessed to have such a great obeyer!

It's my sister's birthday today, too. So happy birthday, Malinda!

Just another day in my crazy Cragun life! Later... Maria

Belated Birthday

Happy birthday ... again, I should say. Let me explain. Okay, so Jeff's birthday was actually August 20th. But, I wasn't feeling very well. I wanted to make a cake because it was his 30th birthday ... but I was in a lot of pain. So, around 9 o'clock (at night) I decided I guess I'd better get to it. So, I made the cake. I was in a bit of a rush because I had started so late in the evening. Jeff had school in the morning, so he couldn't stay up too long. So, hurry I did! The timer went off, the cake was done, I pulled it out and began frosting it. When ... "uh, oh" that wasn't right! Why was the frosting melting? (My head just was not working that day) Oh, yeah ... if something is hot and you putting something that is soft and NOT hot on it, the outcome is: melting. I was so bummed. But, I couldn't stop then. So, I just thought, whatever! It'll still taste good, right? So, then I thought ... we don't have 30 candles and .... we don't have candles that are a 3 and a 0, so I'll just put candles in and try to form the 3 and the 0. I began putting them in and they started falling over. So, I thought, well, the cake is just warm so it is not holding up the candles well. I just kept smooshing them further and further down. Jeff walked in about that time, took one look at the "thing" (as I called the cake) and said, "is the frosting supposed to be clear like that?" I was really upset as it was, but this just really irritated me. Okay, so then it was time to light the candles and sing. We started lighting the candles and Jeff was helping me. I couldn't get to one because the fire was running up the match so I figured that I would lift up another candle to light it. As I lifted up the candle, there was only .... about 1/2 and inch of candle to hold on to. Then it hit me! The candles were melting, toooooo! That's why they weren't standing. Needless to say ... we did eat the outer edges of the cake. It actually tasted like a doughnut ... but, I made a promise to myself that once we moved and were settled in a bit, I would make another cake for him. So that is what I did last night (Sep. 13th) while he was at school. So, here are the pictures of a much more NORMAL looking cake! I don't want to show the other one! But, we do have it on home video so, uh, that'll be fun to watch!

Just a day in my crazy Cragun life!
