We love our zoo!

So, Jeff has this week off before summer school starts up. We decided that we needed to go do some things as a family. We told Braxton last night that we were going to go to the zoo tomorrow. This morning when he woke up he said he was so excited because he get's to go to the zoo tomorrow. I tried to explain that tomorrow was now today. Either way, he was excited. So, as we are getting ready to go, I hear, "Help, I'm stuck! I'm stuck!" I went to go help and this is what I saw:

Today is a Monday and we Lucas County residents know what that means. Free zoo day between 10:00 am and noon. It really is pretty cool. The Toledo Zoo is one of the top 10 in the nation so it is pretty nice to be able to get in free. Good thing, too. I'm not big on zoo's so if it wasn't for the free thing, we wouldn't go.

Daddy and Brax lookin' at the Rhinos:

The white lions were all napping and I couldn't get a good picture of them. But as we were walking out of the exhibit, I saw this display. I guess Siegfried and Roy came to the zoo and brought four white lions. The Toledo and Cincinnati zoo's are the only zoo's in the nation to display these. It is said that in the wild, there might be a chance of the white lion never being around again:

Other than the Rhino, this is the only other animal I could get a good picture of. I don't know what it is, all of the animals seem to take naps while I am there. They must feel the same way I do ... "boring!":

Stopping to take a picture by a cement elephant:

On our way back to the car we stopped by the park:
"Wheeeeeeee!"

That picture of Braxton stuck in the bucket is pretty darn funny!! That's definitely a keeper. And I can't see how you don't like zoos. I think they're awesome. Anyway, I hope Braxton enjoyed it!
