Braxton's Primary talk

Braxton gave a talk in Primary today for the first time. We practiced at home twice and he did really good - but when it came time for him to get up and do it in church, he got really nervous. But, what can you expect from a three year old? The Primary president came up and said that her five year old couldn't/wouldn't even do that well.

So, after dinner we went for a drive and went over to the university. I decided that I would take a few pictures. We went over by the railroad tracks and Brax was pretty nervous that a train was going to come, so we didn't stay there long. (just so you know, trains don't use that track -- I don't want you to think I'm letting my son play on train tracks that are still in use.) Then we just went on a little walk. We eventually made it over to a bridge that is above a highway. He thought it was so much fun watching cars come and go under the bridge. I think that is the funnest time he has had in a while.

I hope you all had a nice relaxing Sunday. Until next time ....

(Braxton loves wearing my hat. It fits him pretty good, too. On the top far right picture, he was trying to see something under the brim of the hat. He looked cross-eyed, and I couldn't help but think that it was adorable. But, it was probably a "had-to-have-been-there" moment.)

Oh yeah, if any of you would like to hear Brax's talk ... just email me and I will send it to you via email. Because, I don't know how to post audio on this thing yet. I really don't even know if that is possible ... ;)Posted by Picasa

Hey Maria!
Thanks for your comment on my blog. It's always great to hear that someone enjoys it (besides myself, of course). :)
Those pictures of Braxton are soo cute! They turned out great. Jethro is turning five in July and I was planning on taking him to some railroad tracks for pictures too.
I especially loved your post of how you met. I've got to get around to doing that. Because I LOVE hearing people's meeting stories. I loved the picture of you two on the couch--you look so happy and spontaneous. I've seen your wedding invitation before in Kami's scrapbook.
Aren't blogs cool that we can see what people are up to that you'd otherwise probably never hear from?
And by the way, did you know Brett is from Vernal too? Born and raised. We go there to visit every year.

Wow, Kayli - I didn't know that is where Brett was from? I bet he knows my family! My mom was actually raised in Neola about 30 minutes from Vernal, but I have tons a family in Vernal. The surnames would be, Witbeck, Whiting and Olsen. Neat-o! Good to hear from ya.
